OPENING EXPO CA$H

How do art brut artists talk about money? Is money present in their work, and in what forms?

Answers can be found in the CA$H exhibition, curated by Éric Gauthier of Galerie du moineau écarlate (Paris) and Céline Delavaux, in collaboration with the Art et marges museum.

CA$H WORKSHOPS AT STERPUT

In collaboration with the Art et marges museum, Sterput is hosting a series of workshops open to all in connection with the CA$H exhibition. Led by Naïla Akli and Vincent Wagnair, the aim of these creative workshops is to appropriate and manufacture fake banknotes in all techniques. All materials will be made available to participants.

The " fake banknotes " made at Sterput during the workshops and those produced by the public of the Art et marges museum during their visit, will be brought together to be presented at an exhibition which will take place at Sterput from Thursday September 19, 2024 6pm to Sunday September 29, 2024 5pm.

Participants can get their banknotes Sunday September 29, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FILM + MEETING AT NOVA | CASH - CUT TO THE QUICK

ÉRIC GAUTHIER, 2024, FR, DCP, FR, 52’

Éric Gauthier runs the Galerie du Moineau écarlate in Paris, which brings together spontaneous, off-the-wall creations, uneducated voices, the fruit of visionary destinies... He also makes short videos in which he interviews so-called "brut" artists about their relationship with money. "Cash - Cut to the Quick" is the filmic result of this approach. In front of his camera, a dozen French and Belgian artists talk, in cash terms, about their work and the material conditions of their creation. These interviews are accompanied by comments from Céline Delavaux, author of "L'Art brut, un fantasme de peintre".

Screening followed by a discussion with Éric Gauthier and Céline Delavaux.

PARLONS CASH | LITERARY TOUR BY AMUSEA

As part of the CA$H exhibition, Jeanne Delsarte will introduce you to authors of today and yesteryear who address the question of money, whether it includes us or marginalizes us.

A walk organized by Amusea , as part of their "Jamais deux sans trois" project, which also includes literary walks at La Maison d'Érasme and Wittockiana.
